The Honors College curriculum expands across a student’s undergraduate career and is intended to be both enriching and individualized. It was designed to offer students a small college experience within a large research university.
In the first year, Honors Colloquium provides a venue for service learning and civic engagement while Honors seminars provide a small, intimate setting for meaningful faculty-student interaction and rich discussion. As students continue their journey through honors, they are encouraged to engage in rigorous coursework within and outside of their major and to make the most of experiential learning like research, internships, and study abroad. This curriculum is meant to provide students with transformative experiences—those that will hopefully lead them to their future career aspirations.
