Help with writing

Posted by admin on September 25, 2006 in Academics, Tutoring

The Writing Place
Thomas J. Edwards Learning Center
209-A Baldy Hall

The Writing Place is a FREE tutorial center where students can receive feedback on their writing. Our trained tutors will help you identify areas needing improvement and suggest techniques for revision.

While the Writing Place is NOT an editing service and does not “fix” papers by correcting grammatical errors, our tutors are ready to respond to your writing and guide you through the writing process. Students are encouraged to bring in papers, essays, projects, etc.

Stop by the Writing Place anytime during the semester. Your tutor will first focus on areas such as your thesis, organization, and development before helping you to improve your sentence structure, punctuation, or spelling. After meeting with your tutor, he or she may suggest a second conference to work on the same piece, depending upon how much progress is made.

Fall 2006 Hours of Operation:
Mondays – Thursdays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
