Through this scholarship program, established in 1985, USAB seeks to recognize full-time undergraduate and graduate students whose leadership efforts, through extracurricular and volunteer activities, have similarly helped to promote student involvement and enhance the student experience at UB.
The awards were renamed in 1991 after Dr. J. Scott Fleming, who served as executive director of the Office of Alumni Relations and who exemplified the spirit of involving students, whom he called, “alumni-in-residence.”
The deadline is October 17th (letter of recommendation deadline is Oct.
24th). This is a student-to-student scholarship (up to four $500 scholarships are awarded each year) managed by the University Student Alumni Board (USAB), the student organization of the UB Alumni Association. More information available on the USAB site at http://www.alumni.buffalo.edu/usab/scholarship.php. Questions can be referred to [mailto:usab-scholarship@buffalo.edu].
