Want to go to space? Want to work in space? This workshop is for you! Come participate in a workshop that will prep you to succeed in this growing industry. Adventures at NASA and Zero-G will be used to inspire any age or major to “dream big, ask for help, and never give up.”
Loretta Hidalgo Whitesides is the Director of US Operations for Space Generation; the co-creator of Yuri’s Night, the World’s Party for Space; a flight director for Zero-G Corporation and has a ticket to fly suborbitally with her husband on Virgin Galactic. She has traveled the world to bring together people who want to use space to make a difference for the planet and is now coming to Buffalo!

Dr. Robert Daly, Distinguished Teaching Professor and professor of English will be hosting a Thesis Writing workshop on Friday, November 10th, at 3:00p.m. in 212 Talbert Hall. All Honors students are welcome. It is useful for students in all phases of the writing process (even those of you who haven’t begun)! Are you interested in learning more about the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship for those studying math, science or engineering? Come to an information session on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 in 12 Capen Hall (near the Capen Café) at 4:00PM. The session will only last an hour and you will learn about the scholarship, how to prepare to be a competitive applicant in the future, how to apply and what the scholarship committee is looking for in an application for this year’s competition. Unable to make the session, schedule a meeting with Hadar Borden in the Honors Office.
