Position Available: Student Assistant (Instructional Support) Teaching & Learning Center

The UB Teaching & Learning Center provides opportunities for faculty to enhance their excellence as teachers and assists in the creative and effective application of technologies for teaching and learning. For more information about the TLC see: http://ubtlc.buffalo.edu.

Applicant should be an experienced computer user. Experience with multimedia, digital imaging, course management tools, and other educational technologies are highly desirable. Knowledge regarding educational principles and processes is beneficial.

Brief Description of Duties:

  • Assist UB faculty and staff with instructional support and educational technology – including UBlearns, educational media, etc.
  • Front desk reception duties including answering phones and assisting walk-in visitors.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with productivity tools, digital imaging, video, audio, course management systems, etc.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • The individual will be expected to show initiative and be able to complete assignments in a timely manner with minimum supervision.

Starting Date: Position available immediately.

Salary: To be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Note that this is NOT a graduate assistantship and the salary is based on an hourly rate.

Applicants will work 10-20 hours per week.
