Posted by admin on September 27, 2006 in Uncategorized
For the first time, the University at Buffalo School of Management is hosting an undergraduate case competition, which is sponsored by the Target Corporation. The competition is open to all full-time UB students; however teams are encouraged to include at least one School of Management junior or senior. Four-person student teams will apply business knowledge, team work and presentation skills to resolve a corporate problem that spans several functional areas. The first place team will win $1,000 ($250 for each team member), second place team will win $200 ($50 for each team member), and third place team will win $100 ($25 for each team member).
Team entries deadline is Thursday, November 9, 2006. The case will be distributed to teams in the early spring and the five team-finalists will provide an oral presentation of the case on Saturday, March 3, 2007 in the Alfiero Center to a panel of School of Management faculty and Target Corporation judges.
