Clemson University Honors College study abroad program

Posted by Jessica on August 20, 2008 in Study Abroad

Located in Brussels, Belgium (the “Capital of Europe”), this five-week program features two honors courses. In addition to their courses, students experience several day trips and special tours of historically significant cities, such as Bruges (the “Venice of the North”), Antwerp, and Ghent. We also include a discussion with officials at the European Commission.

Students are housed in an apartment-style hotel, Les Citadines Ste. Catherine, about a 5-7 minute walk from the famous Grand Place. Each 2-person studio or 3-person apartment is outfitted with a kitchen, television, and private bath. We are projecting the cost for the summer 2009 program (May 10 - June 12) to be approximately $4,500 (subject to change based on exchange rates). The cost covers: tuition, program fees, lodging, Metro pass for travel within Brussels, insurance, program-related field trips, and closing dinner. The cost does NOT include airfare and meals. Students should count on spending about $500 during the five weeks for their daily meals.

As in the past, Clemson students will travel to Brussels as a group, departing from Atlanta on a non-stop flight. We urge non-Clemson students to travel with our group from Atlanta.  We have set a priority application deadline of December 1. After that date, applications will be considered on a space-available basis. Applications may be accessed at http://www.clemson.edu/ia/abroad/apply.html.  For more information, contact:
