Whale Foundation Volunteer Opportunity

Posted by Jessica on December 15, 2008 in Volunteering

The Atlantic Whale Foundation is a British registered charity (Number 1076270), registered office: St Martins House, 59 St Martins Lane, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 4JS.  It was founded to continue the work of Spanish environmental agency, Proyecto Ambiental Tenerife and works primarily towards helping to make Tenerife´s whale watching industry a global example of best practice. Activities revolve around education, conservation and research initiatives. The charity is volunteer led.

This year we are embarking on an extension of activities to harness the energies and abilities of our volunteer networks in helping to fund and run conservation projects around the world, be they supporting communities under threat, nature or the environment. The Global Volunteer & Projects database , WhaleFund and pages on Social Entrepreneurship are all expressions of these efforts. From our new base in Arona, recently renovated and refitted with the latest technology we are looking to ¨make a difference¨ on a global stage.
