Please return the application with your resume, which should include education, training in dance and related areas, and any performance, choreographic, and teaching experience. An essay is required, discussing your career goals and the influences and experiences that have led you to elect a major in Dance. Also address your strengths, what you hope to gain from your university experience, and your intended area of interest from the following choices: Performance, Choreography, Research, Teaching, Preparation for Health Related Careers in dance.
Two letters of recommendation, one from a dance instructor and one from an academic teacher, are required and should be from people with whom you have worked with in the past two years. Include addresses and telephone numbers of recommenders. An audition should be arranged directly with the department. All materials must be received by March 7, 2008.
